Naboso® is a Czech word and means barefoot. Naboso was founded by Dr. Emily Splichal, who built her medical career around studying the benefits of (bare) foot stimulation, foot strengthening and foot-to-core exercises for improving movement and reducing pain.
Research taught her that the surface you stand on affects your posture, balance, energy level and even your mood! Naboso®'s innovative technology was developed to improve your balance and posture while reducing fatigue and pain.
Naboso® offers the first ever insoles and mats specifically designed to stimulate the nervous system and improve movement.
Feet as the basis of movement Your feet have over 2000 nerve sensors that transmit real-time information to the brain. These ensure that the body knows what position it is in and can adjust this position if necessary (proprioception).
However, various factors can disrupt this system. When people get older or get used to soft surfaces (or shoes with a lot of cushioning), these signals can be delayed and even blocked. Naboso's patented material is designed to hyper-stimulate the nerve endings in your feet. The shape, height and distance between the stimulation points have been specifically adjusted to improve your posture and balance and reduce fatigue and pain.
Naboso insoles are NOT orthotics! Classic insoles provide biomechanical support (place your foot in a certain position) or provide extra cushioning. Naboso insoles do not do this. They provide stimulation to the nervous system in order to reactivate your body. Depending on your goals, there are 3 different levels of stimulation: neuro, activation & performance.
Naboso insoles can in this way be an ideal addition to your barefoot or minimalist shoes. Especially with minimalist shoes with a thicker outsole (>8mm), it can be interesting to replace the existing insole with a Naboso sole.
In addition, there are also the Naboso® mats for better movement on bare feet. This way you can train more intensively, rehabilitate faster and improve your body control during all movements.
