This Lems Primal Zen Woodland is a variant of the beloved Primal 2. Both are minimalist casual shoes that are vegan and zero-drop, but the Primal Zen is just a tad thicker and sturdier in the sole.

This product is available in the following colors:

Product description

LEMS PRIMAL ZEN WOODLAND

The Lems Primal Zen Woodland is a variant of the very popular Lems Primal 2. The outsole is slightly thicker (9.5 mm), slightly wider and also a bit firmer at the level of the midfoot and heel. The upper material has also been adjusted, making this shoe even more airy and breathable.

Features:

  • Upper: Microfibre combined with airmesh
  • Lining: 100% polyester
  • Outsole: 9.5mm LemsRubber™
  • Footbed: Removable 3mm PU insole with 0.8mm stool top layer. Want more barefoot feeling? Take it out completely or replace it with a thinner insole (thinner insole not included)
  • Drop: 0.0mm (Zero-Drop)
  • Vegan

Barefoot or not?

The Lems shoes are without doubt the shoes with the thickest (or least thin?) soles in our assortment. Sometimes people ask whether you can call these shoes barefoot. Maybe barefoot is the wrong term and you should better call them minimalistic shoes. On the other hand, there is no exact definition of "barefoot shoes".

At IEDEREEN LOOPT, the shoes have the following characteristics:

  • Anatomic and therefore asymmetric fit: the shoes are wide where your feet are wide and the toes are not compressed in the shoe.
  • Zero-Drop: the heel and forefoot are on the same level (the shoe is therefore completely flat, without heel rise)
  • A relatively thin and flexible sole. How thin? Well, this depends on the brand and the model. The thickness of the sole is not always directly proportional to the flexibility of the shoe. We ourselves have made the choice to set the limit of the outsole to 1 centimeter thickness (there are brands that call themselves barefoot and sell shoes with a sole of 2 or even 3 centimeters thick!). The thinnest shoes in our range have an outsole of 4 mm and this Lems Primal Zen is with its 9.5mm the thickest.

Sizing:

We are often asked what size barefoot shoes you should choose. Unfortunately the answer is not that simple. Each brand has its own size chart and even within different models of the same brand there are often differences. Therefore it is important that you measure the length of your feet. A minimalist shoe is at least 8, but preferably 12mm longer than your foot length. Do you want to measure your feet easily at home? You can with the Plus12

Unfortunately, wrong/old measurement tables circulate on the internet. Therefore, we measure the length of the insole ourselves and add it to the size chart. This way you can determine your ideal size.
